Staff at a hospital in central India called in an expert snake catcher on September 9 after spotting a deadly cobra trying to enter the 100-bed facility through a drainage pipe.

As concerned medics from Korba District Hospital in Chhattisgarh looked on, reptile expert Meheshwar quickly emoved the spectacled cobra from the plumbing, caught in and placed it inside a plastic tub.

It was later released in a forest away from human settlements.
