Police struggle to rescue man dangling from underpass ceiling
A shirtless man was spotted perched on the ceiling of an underpass in Tumkur in South India on December 6.
A police team rushed to the spot to bring him down.
They stopped a passing public transport bus right below the man and climbed it.
The man dangled dangerously from metal beams of the ceiling for brief moments and even tried to crawl along them. He also kicked at the policemen, who were trying to rescue him.
Two constables managed to bring him down ending the two-hour long drama, which had blocked a busy road.
A senior officer said the man appeared to be mentally disturbed and had been sent to a hospital.
