A leopard was cornered by villagers in central India and injured three people while trying to escape yesterday (January 7).

The incident took place in a village near the Banderi forest in Sagar district, Madhya Pradesh state, after the leopard was seen crossing the village boundary and became tangled in some ropes.

The villagers went to see the trapped predator but it suddenly charged out of the the bush and injured three villagers. The injured were sent for medical aid to a nearby government hospital.

Forest officials were informed and DFO Prashant Kumar and SDO Sudhir Singh arrived on the scene to catch the dangerous animal on the loose.

Villagers got to known that a leopard has entered the village boundary & has been tangled in rope. The villagers went to see the leopard then sundely the leopard came from the bush && injured 3 villagers
The injured has been sent for medical aid to nearby govt hospital.
The forest personally have been informed & they have reached the spot for rescue.
The incident happened on o7 January in village near Banderi forest in Sagar district Madhya Pradesh India.
After DFO Prashant Kumar, SDO Sudhir Singh arrived on the forest creature expert to catch the leopard with her.
Leopard monitoring staff of the Forest Department, the night also saw a leopard with keeping movement.
