In an incident, two temple tuskers were seen attacking each other in the middle of a road full of people in Chavakkad, Kerala in southern India.

Three elephants were on their way to the temple when one of them suddenly attacked the other elephant as the third stood silently watching them fight.

The other who got hit also tried attacking in retaliation and a major fight broke out in between them.

In the video, the tamer can be seen trying to control the tuskers as crowd and police watch from a distant.

The tusker who attacked the other one first injured it badly with its tusk. After a struggle of two long hours, the tamer was able to gain control over the beasts.

The people steered clear of their way in order to avoid getting trampled under their heavy feet.

Some of the people who saw the fighting tuskers and ran to save their life fell down while running and injured themselves.

The injured were taken to the hospital by the police authorities and treated for their injuries. The injured had received minor bruises and cuts and were discharged soon after being administered first aid.

After gaining control over the tusker they were tied to a coconut tree.

In the video, the tamer can be seen tying one of the elephants to a tree as in spite of being tied, both of them tries to attack each other.

The officials later came to the spot and took note of the matter. It was still not known why the fight broke in between them.

No loss of human lives was reported in the incident.
