Fascinating video captures pride of Asiatic lions marching together in western India
A fascinating video has emerged of a pride of Asiatic lions marching together in western India. The video was shot on Apr 24 at the Gir Forest National Park in Gujarat state.
Visuals showed at least a dozen felines, including young lions and lionesses, moving around the area.
The video was shot by travellers from inside a car during after sun down.
Footage also showed a male lion walking majestically alongside the car.
The animals looked at ease and did not attack the vehicle.
The Gir Forest is known for housing Asiatic Lions, along with antelopes and leopards.
According to a May 2015 survey, the Asiatic Lion population was calculated at 523 individuals.
