Around 3am Sugar Land PD units were dispatched to an open 911 line through a cell phone. The units were able to ping the cellphone and determined it was at the best buy. While en route to the open 911 call, they received an alarm call at the same location. Officers were able to hear the burglars talking on the cellphone. Once officers arrived at the store they noticed three suspects entering a truck and taking off at a high rate of speed. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but it failed to yield and led them on a 35 minute pursuit. The suspects eventually crashed the vehicle and all took off on foot. A large perimeter was set up and Helicopter and K9 teams were deployed. Two of the three were located.
