Yael Mendoza wanted the proposal with girlfriend Joni Ellazar to be a surprise for her. Together with Joni's family, Yael had it all planned during their holiday trip at San Pablo City, Laguna, on September 22, 2018. The parlour game involves one player guessing a phrase while the other person is only allowed to say yes, no, or maybe. The guesser will have to ask questions until she gets the word that is written on the board above her head. Joni failed the task - but was moved to tears when the board was revealed. Her family then also produced confetti and a cake to celebrate the joyous moment.
