Britain's first mushy pea stall is still going strong 70 YEARS after the family business opened - selling the snack for just 5p. Anita Adcock, 59, and her husband Carl. 58, have been running The Mushy Pea stall since 2006 after being the third generation of the same family to inherit it. The business was first set up in 1949 after WWII by Reggie and Joyce Yallop, before it was passed on to their daughter and her husband Joy and John Adcock in the 80s. After around 26 years of running The Mushy Peas business, the stall was then handed to their son Carl and his wife Anita, both from Hellesdon, Norwich.
