One of our baby pet African pygmy hedgehogs found something tasty on my finger, when they like the taste of something they will self anoint and turn their head around to lick their spines, this is a completely natural behaviour. At the end of the video he is joined by a litter mate. Hedgehogs are solitary animals and when they are old enough they are housed alone.
