Buy video

this video shows how an institution called the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) in Indonesia monitors the level of air pollution and climate change.

the name is Global Atmospheric Wacth (GAW) Station in Koto Tabang, Agam Regency, West Sumatra. GAW is one of 16 monitoring stations in the world. Especially in Indonesia there are only three.

Besides in West Sumatra, there are in Sorong, Papua and Palu, Central Sulawesi. But only those in West Sumatra are directly connected to the monitoring system and research of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO) or the World Meteorological Organization.

How does it work? There are two things they do. for local and world needs. For local people, they collect, process and analyze too. Air samples are inserted into tubes like gas cylinders in hospitals for the needs of world analysis.

This Global Atmosphere Watch (GAW) is a program of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), a UN body that deals with the field of meteorology, to observe various parameters in the Earth's atmosphere. BMKG takes air samples every Tuesday at 2pm. Not another day

The analysis was then conveyed to policy makers, what must be done to deal with various changes in the atmosphere.
