People run into freezing water in Canada
Footage of the fifth annual Crystal Beach Business Improvement Area Polar Bear Dip cold water event in Fort Erie, Canada.
A few dozen men and women ran into the 0 Celsius (32 Fahrenheit) waters of Lake Erie, while a snow squall brought winds which dropped air temperatures down to -17 Celsius (1 Fahrenheit).
The event raises funds locally and collects food for the Salvation Army.
Fort Erie Fire Department firefighters and members of the Fort Erie Underwater Recovery Unit were on hand to ensure the safety of those taking part in the event.
