Birdies and cardinals! Ancient English cathedral now features mini-golf
The ancient and historic Rochester Cathedral, build in 1079 in Kent, England, has gotten a very modern update: miniature golf.
The course was developed by Rochester Bridge Trust with the crossing over the River Medway as the main inspiration behind the course.
Children can learn through play about the structures as part of this fun family sport and record their scores on a special scorecard.
It is not unusual for the cathedral to have an activity over the summer but this mini-golf endeavor is unique.
The balls are made from foam so there is no risk to the 1400 year old stained glass from flying balls and the event is pulling in visitors who are not church goers but as well as enjoying the activity many are curious about their surroundings.
