Time-lapse footage of devastating Southern California fire that destroyed 2,000 acres and forced evacuations
The devastating moment is captured when a fast-moving wildfire in Southern California incinerates nearly 2,000 acres of land and prompted mandatory evacuations in this powerful time-lapse video on Thursday (September 5).
The filmer, Jacob, said he lives about 2 miles away and decided to record the powerful blaze because of how unmissable it was.
According to the Riverside Fire Department, around 800 personnel are currently working on putting out the Tenaja wildfire, which blazed through 1,400 acres in less than a day. The fire is named after the road near where it started around 4 p.m. Wednesday in La Cresta, California.
The Tenaja fire has spread to surrounding cities in Riverside County––including Murrieta, located 80 miles south of Los Angeles
