Cambodian gardener uses blowtorch to remove fungus from tree
A gardener found an unusual way to treat fungus - burning it off with a flame-thrown. Ly Han used the gas torch to treat a tree on her land in Phnom Penh, Cambodia on June 19. She said that fungus could be dangerous to the trees as they could affect the leaves, the roots, the trunk, and the aesthetic damage of the plants. Ly believes her blowtorch method is the most effective way to eradicate the pest. She said: ''Not many people know about this method, but it will actually to kill the fungus on the tree. Some people might not understand it and think that we were killing the trees but it was actually the opposite.''
