German kayaker, Adrian Mattern, descends a 20ft waterfall in India on October 26 and gets pulled underwater by the sheer force of the water.

Mattern attaches a GoPro to his head as he takes the plunge down the waterfall on the Kynshi River before the backwash sucks him underneath and spits him back out downstream.

During a multiday kayak expedition on the Kynshi River in Meghalya, India, extreme sports athlete Adrian Mattern gets stuck in the backwash of a 20 foot waterfall. After being in the backwash for a few seconds the force of the water extracts him from his kayak and he is getting pulled down deeply underwater before reapperaing way downstream after nearly 20 seconds of being thrown around under water by the sheer force of the currents.
