Indonesian authorities on Sunday (February 2nd) evacuated 245 citizens from the Chinese city of Wuhan and brought them to Batam, Indonesia, according to local media.

Most were students who had been studying at Wuhan University, according to reports.

The Indonesian citizens will be quarantined for two weeks on Natuna Island before being returned to their families.

The Indonesian government evacuated 245 citizens from Wuhan, China to Batam, Indonesia. Most of them are students who are studying in Wuhan City. The Indonesian government takes its citizens on a Batik Air plane, which flies directly from Wuhan city to Batam island, this plane will fly back to Natuna Island.

These Indonesians will be sterilized for two weeks at Natuna before being returned to their respective families.

Indonesia is protecting its citizens against the corona virus which has spread to various countries.
