An Indonesian man has been wearing Batman costumes in order to raise awareness about measures being used to prevent the spread of coronavirus.

Danar, 39, a social activist from Sukoharjo has distributed around 500 leaflets containing an appeal for the public to remain calm.

"I distributed 500 leaflets from the Central Java Health Office which contained an explanation of what the coronavirus was and its prevention solution," explained Danar.

According to Danar, currently many people do not understand about the coronavirus, a lot of hoax information and issues that make people uneasy.

The outbreak of the coronavirus in Wuhan, China has alarmed a number of parties. Not a few people who are worried and worried that the virus will spread to Indonesia. The rise of incorrect information or hoaks adds to the concerns of residents.

Concerned with these conditions, in Sukoharjo Regency, Central Java Province, Indonesia, a resident wearing a costume of the fictional hero superhero 'Batman' staged an action related to the coronavirus outbreak, on the district highway on Friday 7 February 2020.
