Four people, including two security personnel, were injured in a grenade attack on Sunday afternoon (February 2nd ) in Srinagar in the Indian union territory of Jammu and Kashmir, according to police.

Police tweeted that two civilians and two security personnel were injured when the assailants threw a grenade at them and it exploded.

According to local media, the attackers were targetting personnel from the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) near Pratap Park in the heart of the city.

Suspected militants hurled a grenade at the CRPF party at Makah Market in the heart of city on Sunday afternoon leaving two civilians and a CRPF personnel injured.

Witnesses said that a lound bang was heard amid the Sunday market buzz at Makah Market near Biscoe School Lal Chowk in Srinagar Jammu and Kashmir India.

"Two civilains and a CRPF personnel got injured in the attack who were immediately shifted to hospital for treatment,"

The area has been sealed and massive manhunt launched to nab the attackers
