People loot chicken from truck ferrying poultry amid corona lockdown in central India
Amid nationwide lockdown to contain coronavirus pandemic, a bizarre incident took place where a hungry mob rushed to rob a brood of chickens from a truck in central India.
The incident took at Kalibadi, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, place on March 30, 2020.
An Indian Broiler Company truck carrying the poultry of chickens was parked near the township when people rushed to rob the chickens.
People were carrying bags with them to snatch as many chickens as possible.
The video shows, a large number of people racing towards a truckload of chicken.
Following this, the mob grabbed as many chickens as they could and fled the spot.
According to sources, a rumour had spread in the area that free chickens will be distributed to all the locals.
Policemen ran after the people and cleared the area from time to time.
It is estimated that some political representatives of the area deliberately sent this truck to win over the public.
Police are collecting information about how the truck reached the area.
Kotwali police station is investigating this matter.
