New normal, traditional markets apply physical distancing
Bukittinggi city is the only area in West Sumatra province of Indonesia which declared itself out of the Large-Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB) and began implementing new normal starting June 1 2020. In addition to reactivating the tourism sector, Bukittinggi city government also applies physical distancing in crowded locations including traditional markets. Among traders who sell at the market, the distance is set approximately 1.5 meters. The government also imposed a fine to buy three masks for those found out of the house not using masks.
