London Islamic Cultural Society and Mosque prepares to reopen
Mrs Bibi Khan, president of London Islamic Cultural Society and Mosque wearing face covering outline the plans for reopening. Wightman Road Mosque, also known as London Islamic Cultural Society and Mosque, in north London, prepares to open after the COVID-19 lockdown, by placing a number of measures required by law for worshippers. The Mosque will reopen on 20 July for certain prayers only.
On Monday 6 July, Mrs Bibi Khan gives instructions to staff and Imams of the new measures.
The government announced that gatherings of more than 30 worshippers are allowed for acts of communal worship in churches, synagogues, mosques, temples and other places of worship. All worshippers attending Mosques will have to wear face coverings and bring their own prayer mat, Quran, and a reusable shoe bag.
