Buy video

Starlink 9L was launched by SpaceX from Florida on August 7th . Less than a day later the satellites could be seen as a spectacular "satellite train" over Europe.

This was seen in Vétroz in Switzerland around 03:27 A.M. on August 8th, 2020.

There are 57 Starlink satellites and also two Blacksky satellites.

In the opening scene the bright star at right is Capella in Auriga.
Planet Venus can also be seen towards the end of the footage as a very bright light over the horizon.

This is filmed in realtime with two different cameras ( Sony a7s and a7s2 ) and lenses ( Mitakon 35/0.95 and Canon EF 85/1.8 with Viltrox speedbooster )

with the Perseid meteor shower attracting lots of people outdoors at night next week no doubt there will be many UFO reports when they see this. The satellites will gradually take more and more distance but can still be seen as a 'train of satellites' for several weeks, weather permitting.
