A wild owl had to be rescued after getting tangled in a plastic net attached to a broken house near Bangiriposhi Bazaar in the Mayurbhanj district of Odisha.

On Saturday evening (August 8), Preetish Kumar, a local journalist, spotted the distressed animal when returning to his home.

He immediately called for assistance, and a group of local villagers cut the net with scissors, releasing the owl after its rescue.

On dated 08.08.2020 (Saturday) evening, the owl was trapped in a plastic net attached to a broken house near Bangiriposhi Bazaar under Mayurbhanj district of Indian state of Odisha.

A local journalist Preetish Kumar was spotted when returning to his home and immediately rushed to help & rescued but he did not as the owl needed to be cut from the net.

He called some villagers & with the help of local youth cut the net with scissors & was released after being rescued from the net.
