Farmers watched as Indonesia's Mount Sinabung spewed ash on Friday (August 14).

It is the fifth eruption since Saturday after the volcano sat dormant for more than a year.

Villagers have been advised to stay 3.1 miles from the crater’s mouth and tourism activities have been suspended.

Mount Sinabung is recorded to have continuously erupted throughout the day until the night. This eruption produced a solid gray and black white eruption column 200-5,000 meters from the top of the peak. The eruption column was observed moving east, southeast, and south.

According to the Center of Volcanology and Geological Hazard Mitigation statement, a series of tremors shows that the magma process is still occurring from the inside to the surface.

Because they are in the Alert status, Kasbani urges the public and visitors or tourists not to carry out activities in the villages that have been relocated, as well as locations within a radial radius of 3 km from the summit of Mount Sinabung, and a sectoral radius of 5 km for the south-east sector, and 4 km for the east-north sector.
