Severe flooding in Vietnam's Lai Chau Province has triggered landslides which have left roads damaged.

Prolonged rain caused floodwater to rise more than 1 metre leading to 1,004 houses being damaged.

According to reports, seven people have died, one is missing and four have been injured.

According to villagers, prolonged heavy rains have caused serious flooding in this area, the floodwater rose more than 1 meter and destroyed many roads and caused landslides in the mountainous area.
According to the report, 7 people died and 1 person was missing and 4 people were injured.
In addition to flash floods, floods, and heavy rains, 1,004 houses were damaged or had to be relocated urgently in the area. In terms of production, 1,660ha of rice and 433ha of crops were damaged; many cattle and nearly 1,000 poultry were washed away.
