This is the shocking moment a piece of loose metal flew off a truck before smashing a car windscreen.

The car was trailing behind the lorry when part of the cabin appeared to fall off and hit the ground. In then bounced and flew through the air.

Terrifying dash cam footage shows how the metal then crashed into the car's windscreen on a motorway in Bangkok, Thailand, on September 3.

The driver, Nuttawat, said he was shocked when the metal hit his car but managed to compose himself and pull over onto the hard shoulder.

He said: ''Please be careful when driving, wherever you are. You will never know what accident could happen.

''I will have to pay to fix my car but that is just pieces of glass and metal. I'm relieved that I was not hurt.''

Nuttawat believes the damaged will cost the equivalent of a few hundreds pounds to have repaired.
