The drum used is called "FONTOMFROM" which means the swallower of the elephant. It is played only when a paramount chief sits in state at durbars, funerals or any cultural functions.The dance is the highest in the hierarchy of Asante drum dances. It is only played and performed when a paramount chief or "Obrempong" rides in a palanquin.
