Lion dancers greet adorable mini costume wearer in China
This is the amusing moment lion dancers greet an adorable mini costume wearer in China.
A group of young performers noticed the three-year-old girl wearing pink lion dance attire in Guangdong on February 2.
Footage shows eight lion dancers in vibrant red, yellow, orange, and black costumes playfully surrounding the toddler, moving lively in front of her.
The orange performer even hilariously opened its mouth, appearing to 'eat' the child.
This prompted the kid to walk away in fear, but her mother comforted her and gently pushed her toward the dancer.
The mother said: 'We were so happy to encounter lion dancers just heading home after the parade. My daughter was so excited to see them up close, and it happened. She was very happy.'
Lion dances are performed during the Chinese New Year, at grand openings of new businesses, and at weddings and birthday celebrations, accompanied by drums, a gong, and cymbals. They are performed to ward off evil and bring good fortune.
