An injured 24-year-old woman was the victim of a brutal assault by motorcycle thieves in the Buenos Aires district of Moreno on Tuesday morning (October 13).

Brenda Desiré Gutiérrez was walking through the Rififi neighborhood of Moreno around 9:30 in the morning when on Centenario Street, between Alberti and Castelli, she was surprised by two motorcycle criminals who intercepted her to assault her.

In the images, you can see that Brenda was clinging to her bag and that, while the criminals accelerated to escape, the young woman was dragged first along the sidewalk and later on the asphalt towards the middle of the street. One of them even shot her but failed to hurt her.

At that moment, a silver Volkswagen Polo that was driving in front of the motorcycle tried to make a maneuver to attack the thieves but finally ran over the young woman, who was left lying on the asphalt. The criminals fell to the ground but quickly got back on the motorcycle and escaped at full speed.

The car, according to police sources, was driven by a 20-year-old who was with his 38-year-old mother, and who explained that when she saw that the young woman was being assaulted, she wanted to stop the motorcycle with her vehicle.

The young woman was rushed to the Mariano y Luciano de la Vega de Moreno Hospital, still conscious and with a head injury, and the driver's mother, who suffered several injuries, also had to be referred to the health center.

The thieves managed to flee and have not yet been identified. The investigation of the fact was in the hands of the prosecutor Gabriel López, in charge of the UFI No. 8 of the Moreno - General Rodríguez Judicial Unit.
