This five-year-old from Chennai in southern India is able to fire 111 arrows in 13 minutes suspended in the air.

Footage shows youngster Sanjana attempting the bizarre world record, while hanging upside down from wooden scaffolding taking shots at a target.

She's subsequently awarded the Human Ultimate World Records - a regional body recognising such attempts - after shooting 111 arrows in 13 minutes and 15 seconds while being suspended in the air upside down.

The valiant attempt has yet to be officiated by the Guinness World Records.

Sanjana's father, Prem, said: "Sanjana is very enthusiastic about making these records.

"She will make one record every year on Independence Day till she is 10 years old, after which she will train for the Olympics in the year 2032 and bring home several gold medals and make her country proud."

Her coach Shihan Hussaini says that the day Sanjana’s parents brought her for training he knew that the girl has exceptional talent and a child prodigy in the making.

The recording of the performance will be sent to Guinness Book of World Records soon, Hussaini said.
