A warehouse roof was left hanging from high-voltage power lines in the Philippines after strong winds tore it off during Tropical Storm Saudel.

Ruston Banal found the roof on top of the electric pole on the other side of the road in front of his house in Pampanga province on October 21.

He said: "I hope it will give lesson and awareness to the company who cannot even build a good structure. Irresponsible construction of unsafe edifices are dangerous for the people living nearby."

The roof was detached and flew over to the nearby electric post after a strong wind blew during tropical storm Saudel, also known as Pepito.

Countries surrounding the West Philippine Sea such as Vietnam, Hong Kong, and China are on alert as the severe tropical storm Saudel follows that path.

Heavy rains this month have caused floods and landslides in central Vietnam and western Cambodia, forcing tens of thousands of people from their homes.
