Hilarious footage shows a family being bombarded with grilled chicken kebabs after street food sellers surrounded their car.

Vilaiyphone and his relatives were on a day trip in Champasak province, Laos, when they pulled over at lay-by next to a park, on October 31.

Sensing there were sales to be made, half-a-dozen food vendors swarmed on the vehicle and thrust the sticks of grilled chicken and pork through the open windows.

Vilaiyphone and the rest of the family happily obliged and snapped up dozens of the tasty barbecued snacks, which cost around a dollar for one stick.

The driver said: ''It's lucky everyone was hungry. We bought plenty of chicken and lasted us the whole drive back home.''

Vilaiyphone and the rest of the family feasted on the chicken for the rest of the 900km drive back to their homes in the capital, Vientiane.

Laos is a land-locked Communist republic sandwiched between Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, China and Burma.
