Hundreds of Catholics gathered in the French city of Nantes today (November 22) to call for the reopening of churches which have been closed during the second coronavirus lockdown.

They said they felt strongly that reopening churches would not lead to a spike in infections.

Protesters in Place Graslin listened to speeches from the organisers and held prayers before leaving the square.

Hundreds of catholics gathered on Place Geaslin in Nantes, France in favor of the reopenning of churches. As France is once again under lockdown, many "non-essential" public spaces are closed, yet the believers have asked to get back their mass, considering it represents no sanitary dangers to hold them. After a speech from the organizers, the people gathered on the square prayed together before finally leaving. After an hour of speechs and prayers, the people skiwly left the square as intended by authorities.
