Drugs worth over crores hidden in briefcase seized by Indian Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel at International airport in Coimbatore

Crores worth of drugs seized by Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) personnel at Coimbatore International Airport in Tamil Nadu the south Indian state.

Methamphetamine weighing over 2.64 lbs (1.2 Kilograms) from a passenger who was scheduled to board a flight to Sharjah from the Coimbatore International Airport on December 5.

The officials are seen opening and searching the briefcase and recovering the drugs that were to be smuggled to Sharjah, one of the largest cities in the United Arab Emirates.

The accused identified as K Nagarathinam hailing from Thuvakudi in Trichy was to leave to Sharjah when the officials found salt like substance during scanning and informed the Indian Airport Custom officials.

The officials after carrying out the test confirmed that the substance was Methamphetamine and took the passenger into custody for further investigation.

Value of the drug is said to be over crores in the International Market.
