Vintage police station built from teak wood is restored to how it was 100 years ago
A wooden police station built more than 100 years ago has been restored after lying abandoned for several decades.
The Nong Kham Police Station in Bangkok, Thailand, will now be used as a historical attraction and learning centre which is open to the public.
Local government officials said the station was first built more than 100 years ago from teak wood imported from neighbouring Myanmar, then called Burma. It was preserved but had been unused for several decades.
The new centre features vintage police cells, desks, uniforms and other historical policing artefacts. They will help people learn about the history of crime and punishment, said those involved with the restoration.
