Torrential rain hit the historic city of Sucre, Bolivia, on Monday (January 4), and local media, so far, reported at least four dead and more than 15 people with trauma and hypothermia.

"The water reached more than a meter in height," reported the local network ATB. 'La Razón' reported that the flood was the result of a hailstorm that lasted over 20 minutes.

The streets became rivers carrying vehicles, motorcycles, and stalls as the hailstorm covered the storm drains.

From the area of the Peasant Market, the 'Correo del Sur' medium broadcasted live after the fatal current.

The chronicler showed how vendors tried to save some of their merchandise, and the drivers drew hail from inside the cars.

The residents of the area desperately asked for help to face the situation through social networks.
