A group of people scaled a rock pillar in western India to mark the 351st death anniversary of a famed historic warrior.

The group climbed the Wazir Sulka at Mahuli Fort in Maharashtra to pay tribute to Tanaji Malusare on February 4.

Tanaji Malusare is famous in India for capturing Kondhana Fort on February 4, 1670.

The climbers can be seen holding up saffron cloths and chanting slogans. The group for the ascent included a seven-year-old girl named Dhruyi Ganesh Padwal, and a twelve-year-old named Yuvraj Jadhav.

The incident took place in Shahapur in Thane district.

A video witnessing the incident features several people climbing a steep mountain during the daytime.

While some are mounting the hill, some stand on the surface while holding a long saffron piece of cloth. Following this, the people who ascend the peak hold a giant poster and chant a slogan all along. A child also accompanies them during this adventure.

Inspired by Prajit Pardeshi and guided by Adventure Sports, the youth of Lonand village, along with a seven-year-old girl named Dhruvi Ganesh Padwal, mounted the Wazir Sulka to pay tribute to Tanaji Malusare on his 351st death anniversary.

The seven-year-old has set a new record by mounting the hill. The entire path was slippery, and the ditch was 600-feet deep. A 12-year-old named Yuvraj Jadhav was also present at the spot, along with several others.

A team consisting of Vishwas Misra, Yashodip Kakade, adventure photographer Mehul Dhave, Rajendra Kakde, Nimesh Rao, Sachin Bhangare Dhyagude, Sanket Hakay, Akash Kshirsagar, Rajendra Dhyagude, Eenkasath SL adventure's chief Lah Ugade, Krushna Margale, Rohit Andodegi, Tushar Dighe, Sonali Vaghe, Vilas Kumkale, Suraj Bhagat were present at the spot.
