Supporters of opposition parties held a protest outside the Parliament in Tbilisi, Georgia, on Tuesday (March 2).

The protesters rallied against the October 2020 election results and the arrest of Nika Melia, the leader of the United National Movement, the biggest opposition party in the country.

Footage shows protesters setting off flares and minor scuffles with police forces.

United opposition parties have been picketing outside the parliament building since 9 am this morning. The protest concerns election fraud, the economic crisis, and the existence of political prisoners in the country.

Protesters are gathered in front of parliament and have been focusing shouts at politicians entering the parliament. They aim to cause discomfort by peaceful protest and shouting.
