A speeding vehicle ran over a leopard while it was crossing the road in central India's Madhya Pradesh. The incident took place on the National Highway-39, passing through Panna Tiger Reserve.

A video shows barricades placed on the road while the officials investigate the scene. Following this, the authorities stationed on the spot notice the lifeless leopard amid rocks on the sidelines of the road. Moreover, they carry the remains of the animals inside their vehicle for further examination.

The post-mortem reports indicated that the animal died from an accident. The forest officials have been investigating the case. Moreover, the highway passing through Panna Tiger Reserve has reported several such cases of wildlife deaths due to accidents in the past. Furthermore, it has been alleged that the accident occurred due to negligence.
