Officials are investigating as to why dozens of pig carcasses were are littered along the banks of the Yellow River in northern China.

The video, filmed in Dalad Banner in Inner Mongolia on March 21, shows the carcasses piled up along the Yellow River.

The finding of the dead pigs has raised concerns about possible pollution or the spread of illness.

Workers have collected and treated the carcasses as well as disinfected the area.

It is unknown why the pig carcasses were on the banks of the Yellow River.
