A brave dog attempted to protect their injured friend from an oncoming train in Uzhhorod, western Ukraine.

Footage from December 2016 shows the two dogs cowering on the track as the train swiftly approaches them.

As the train passes, it is revealed that both dogs were not injured by the vehicle.

An orphanage took care of the two dogs and reported that the injured pooch made a complete recovery.

The dog was injured by the train and unable to move independently. Several attempts to remove the animal from the rail turned out to be in vain, as the dog protected her in every way.

Hearing the signal from the driver, the dog went to his friend, snuggled in and lay down next to her. Both animals lowered their heads, clutching them to the ground and the train rode.

The male did this 2 days in a row!
The guys from the orphanage helped to save them and took them for a while.

The injured dog recovered completely afterwards.
