Woman reveals strange hack to get rid of period pain with EAR MASSAGE – leaving 20 MILLION TikTok users mesmerised
A woman has revealed how to get rid of period pain with a simple ear massage – and TikTok users are mesmerised by the simple trick.
Olesia Mackevic, 27, a university graduate in kinesiotherapy used to work at a hospital in Madrid, where she was first exposed to acupuncture and alternative medicine.
She became fascinated with the human body and began reading more on acupuncture and how the technique is used to release pain in the muscles.
One day, Olesia came across a trick on how to reduce pain during menstruation – and decided to test it out herself.
She was blown away at how effective the method was and decided to share it to TikTok, where it has since gone viral with over 20.3 million views and over 2 million likes.
In the video, Olesia uses the rubber on the end of a pencil to massage the top inner corner of her ear for about one minute.
She then repeats the process on the other ear.
Olesia claims the trick worked for relieving her menstrual cramps and TikTok users have praised her for it.
“It worked for me! It eased my pain a lot,” one user wrote.
“WHAT IS THIS WITCHCRAFT?” another person asked.
“Woah it actually reduces the pain just tried it,” a third user said.
“Omfg this instantly worked thank you!!!" someone else added. [sic]
“I instantly felt better. Thank you," wrote another person.
“Most people don't believe in acupuncture, while it is alternative medicine,” Olesia told Jam Press.
“But I learnt during my studies that it really works.
“I know that a pill can help me but why not try something else.
“I thought to myself, it may help or it may not, but I didn't think that the technique could make worse.
“I know that our feet have a lot of acupuncture points and now I know that our ears have acupuncture points too.
“The technique is very simple, just massage a certain point on your ear for about 1 min, even up to two or three minutes.
“I do it on both ears.
“It helps me, while my pain and cramps are not so strong, I think it can help only a bit to release pain for those who have really strong cramps.
“I was surprised that it worked.
“I know that acupuncture can help, but if you don’t try it you won't believe it."
