Floating stones were seen in temple water tank and handed it over to a museum in South India

Location: Kanchipuram district of Tamilnadu South India.

Selvaraj a daily wage labour found his nephew playing with a stone when asked about it he said that he found that stone in the temple tank. And he also added the stone was floating in the water.

Confused on his statement Selvaraj threw the stone in the bucket of water and to his suprise he saw the stone floated. It was almost a 1500 grams of weight but it floated.

He then immediately handed over the stone to the Tamilnadu museum authorities.

When enquired about the stone the museum authorities said "sometimes when the hot lava comes out of the volcano and meets cool air and cool water, the air and water get in the pores of rocks and later got freeze in the pores of the rock which makes the rocks light weighted, so it floats."

They also added these kind stones are found in large number only in Rameshwaram island and dono how it reached Kanchipuram..
