Rare 19th century stone boat astonishes visitors in museum of central India

Several thronged to see the 19th century stone boat in the Archaeological Association Museum in central India's Madhya Pradesh on August 21. The incident took place in Dufferin Bhawan in Sagar.

Visuals feature the rare stone boat floating on the surface of the water while a guide of the museum gives it a little nudge to give the visitors a better view. The man then displays the boat to the onlookers and explains its astonishing features to keep them one step ahead while giving them a tour of the museum.

This boat is kept in the Archaeological Association Museum established 33 years ago in the 100-year-old Dufferin Bhawan in Sagar city. Moreover, this boat was made in the 19th century and is 36 cm long and 9 cm in height and breadth while it weighed around 5 kg (11 lbs) and can take up to a weight of 800 grams (1.7 lbs). This unique stone boat was donated for the museum in 1991 and for the last 30 years, this has been kept in the museum.
