20-year-old makes robotic replicas using electronic scrap materials
A young boy from Manipur, east India makes robotic helmets and costumes from cardboard, discarded scrap materials, and electronic waste.
Prem Ningombam, hailing from Heirok village, started his journey as a drawing artist, and later started working on robotic gears after being inspired by Hollywood movies.
The 20-year-old uses cardboard, scrap materials, and electronic waste which he collects from the roadside and from nearby electronic shops to make his creations.
The man had no formal training or expertise in the field other than his observation-driven knowledge. Prem also wants to inspire other people from Manipur to use these ideas for local superhero movies and to make his own films.
