This deer was captured making an eerie shriek that sounded like something right out of a horror film.

Patrizio Pac Casse filmed the deer in Villetta Barrea, central Italy, and told Newsflare: "Autumn is the time when deer are in the middle of mating season and it's easy to hear their unmistakable bellowing echoing.

"The bellow is the love sound emitted by the male deer in order to demonstrate all their strength and to conquer the harem of the females.

"The louder the bell the more the deer demonstrates its power and tells other males to stay away. The thrill of listening to them is a must-try!"
