Stockshots of Guatemalan protest turns violent in night in Guatemala City
This footage was filmed and produced 22 Novermber 2020.
Violent protests and clashes between protesters and police broke out in Guatemala. The incidents came when about 7,000 people protested in front of the national palace and congress in Guatemala against corruption in the government of Alejandro Giammattei and the approval of the national budget. protesters threw rocks, rock bottles and Molotov cocktails at the police who responded by firing tear gas and chasing after them. Some protesters gained access to the National Congress, and burned some part of it.
This video illustrates the violent clashes of protesters with the police, the use of Molotov cocktails as well as the use of tear gas.
