A suspected was confronted by a group of neighbours in Dudley, West Midlands, and a doorbell camera caught the moment he fled.

Footage captured on November 11 in Messiter Way shows the moment the "prolific burglar" is caught lurking around parked cars.

He then proceeds to run away from the neighbours shouting "that ain't me."

The owner of the doorbell camera told Newsflare he alerted his neighbours via WhatsApp: "During his crawling escapades, residents have been made aware of his presence and are coordinating how best to catch him.

"Their plan works and the burglar is confronted. After taking a threatening tone, he realises he's outnumbered.

"It's at this point the burglar starts to beg before running away at quite some pace screaming "that ain't me!"

The suspected burglar was reported to West Midlands Police and the individual has not been identified.
