Locals scare herd of elephants crossing road in northeastern India
Wildlife was having the best time while taking a tour of the human world in northeastern India's Assam on December 26. The incident took place on National Highway-39 in Purabangla in Marangi in Golaghat district.
Visuals feature the herd of elephants, including calves, approaching the road in broad daylight, raising curiosity among the locals. Following this, the jumbos cross the road after appearing out of the woods and walk towards the green field while the locals scream all along to scare them away from the farmlands.
The elephants in the region are often known for straying onto the residential areas to look for food, making the locals familiar with such incidents.
