Customers were locked inside a Uniqlo store overnight to do COVID-19 tests in eastern China.

Video filmed in the city of Shanghai on January 13 shows dozens of customers being locked inside the store and some of them resting in sleeping bags on the floor at night.

According to a customer, food and sleeping bags were distributed to them at night. Customers and shop employees slept over in the store for a night.

An official told the local journalist, to meet the needs of epidemic prevention and control, the Uniqlo store had to be closed for 48 hours.

All customers and store employees tested negative and the store's lockdown has been eased.

1月13日晚，位于南京西路的优衣库门店突然被封闭，店内尚有多名顾客及员工。现场视频显示，优衣库大门关闭，门前拉着警戒线，店内有人在向外观望，然而优衣库附近的商户未受影响仍在正常营业。
一名被封控在店内的顾客表示，当晚有人给配送了睡袋和食物，顾客和工作人员全部在店内留宿了一晚。
1月14日，门店所属南京西路街道办及居委会工作人员告诉记者，因配合疫情防控需要，优衣库门店须临时封闭48小时，周边商户不受影响。至于后期如何安排，暂时还不明确。目前店内的顾客及工作人员已于14日中午解除隔离，全员核酸阴性。（视频由上海台提供）
